I’ve been working as good as I can with a multimeter and some coloured tape, and now I think I have mapped most of the cables running in the boat. I will start making diagrams of the circuits next time I’m on the boat. It’s not too easy since I’m not very good with this kind of work, and some of the connections is still making me weep.
This is the backside of the instrument panel for the engine. It’s terrible.
In some places, where it’s hard to reach with arms and hands, there are small explosions of grey cable. My brain has worked hard and I kind of understand this now. I’m going to mark the cables to the best of my abilities.
Since I posted on couchsurfing about my plans I’ve gotten quite a lot of mails and messages. I think it will turn out great!
